BRAID’s mission is to create a talented, innovative, and resilient geoscience workforce that represents the communities we serve.

• We are an alliance of educators and researchers who form evolving partnerships to open access to resources, training, and career pathways in the geosciences.
• We exchange expertise between members with complementary strengths and create opportunities across their organizations for students, faculty, and researchers.
• We aim to transform the policies and ethos of members’ organizations by leveraging current scholarship and advancing best practices to welcome and support individuals from a broad spectrum of groups.

The communities we serve include under-resourced individuals in the US, and others who previously have not had access to the geosciences.
